Born in 1982, Max Frintrop plays with the concept of space. In his abstract compositions, he stretches or compresses forms that are either painted or created using ink projected onto the canvas. His painting is energetic, colourful yet subtle, playing with the notion of balance between full and empty. The new series he is presenting at this exhibition is a perfect illustration of this, since it is up to the collector to choose which way the painting is hung. In fact, the artist recommends changing the way it is hung from time to time, to give it a different reading.
Max Frintrop's work has been shown in many countries. In early 2024, a solo exhibition of his work will be held at Art Geneve.
