Sowat: Ghost Writer

Ghost Writer results from almost two years of work and researches. The show will unveil a body of paintings on canvas and paper created on unusual coloured, grey and mat black backgrounds. On those first layers, Sowat's calligraphy will be highlighted with the artist's traditional metallic paint: gold, bronze or silver. Very controlled in most of the works, Sowat's strokes will explode in some others, giving him a necessary pressure relief valve.

 

Technical and aesthetic experiments will be surprising enough to raise discussion and catch the eye of Sowat's work connoisseurs. Those new paintings will reveal clear evolutions. But traditional calligraphy lovers will not be left aside. They will find their satisfaction in more classical works whom are the artist's red wire allowing him to explain his progression.
