The Museum of Hunting and Nature in Paris plans to reopen soon and will feature paintings by François Malingrëy illustrating man's relationship with living things

The museum, anchored in an identity between ancient and contemporary art, places man in front of the wild animal and its representations.

It is in the universe that François Malingrëy's paintings will serve as a backdrop for the new Anthropocene diorama that opens on the second floor of the museum, in the new spaces highlighting contemporary art. Thus, the decor creted by the Prélud workshop is surrounded by paintings of realistic scenes by the painter François Malingrëy.

Christine Germain-Donnat, director and curator of the Museum of Hunting and Nature, confided about this new project (source: La Croix):
"The artist François Malingrëy has created three atmospheres - a plain, a sunset and a cave - in order to deploy a representation of the cohabitation of men and animals, while evoking the repercussions of human activites in the nature."
